The first meeting of the National Veterinary Day celebration committee was held in the meeting hall of the organization, with the presence of Dr. Abbas Ali Motlabi, head of the Veterinary System Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the Iranian Veterinary System Organization, at the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Motlabi emphasized the importance of forming this headquarters and said: "We felt the need for all elements of the veterinary profession, including the government, private sectors, universities, and the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute, to come together under a common banner so that the National Veterinary Day commemoration program can be held in a coherent, national, and inclusive manner."

Referring to past experiences in holding this ceremony, he stated: "In past years, the Veterinary System Organization has held various commemorations, considering the facilities and conditions; from the presence of vice presidents and the Minister of Agricultural Jihad to even the presence of the president in some years. We hope that considering the popular approach of the esteemed president, Dr. Masoud Pezzekian, we will witness his presence at the ceremony this year as well."

The head of the Veterinary System Organization stated that the responsibility for holding this ceremony has been assigned to the private sector, especially the veterinary system of Tehran Province, due to some limitations in government agencies, and added: "Dr. Ramin Salamati, head of the Veterinary System Council of Tehran Province, is responsible for the execution of this ceremony, and we will follow it up in cooperation with other institutions and organizations."

In the continuation of this meeting, representatives of other organizations and universities, while expressing support for the plans made, emphasized the necessity of forming a joint headquarters with the participation of all relevant departments, institutions, and organizations. It was also decided to use the capacity of the provinces to coordinate with local officials such as members of parliament and governors.

In the meeting's resolutions, the following issues were emphasized:

The date for the ceremony was set for National Veterinary Day, Monday, October 4. It was decided that the necessary correspondence would be made to invite the President.

The time to reserve the ceremony hall should be considered for one week (before and after October 14) to allow for flexibility in the president's possible plans.

The naming of National Veterinary Week will begin on October 4 and continue for a week; it was decided that decisions about naming the days of this week will be made in future meetings.

The executive responsibility and secretariat of the headquarters were assigned to the Tehran Province Veterinary System.

Headquarters meetings should be held every two weeks on a continuous basis, and reports on actions and progress should be presented by representatives of member organizations.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Motlabi emphasized the need for division of labor among the staff members and the active participation of all departments in holding this national ceremony as magnificently as possible.
