The first meeting of Region Four of the Veterinary System Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in West Azerbaijan Province with the presence of Dr. Abbas Ali Motlabi, the head of the organization, the heads of the veterinary system councils of the member provinces, managers, and a group of experts.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Veterinary System Organization, Region Four of the Iranian Veterinary System Organization includes the provinces of "West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Qazvin, Kurdistan, and Zanjan," which held this meeting with the aim of creating synergy, exchanging experiences, addressing common challenges, and developing regional cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, by voting among the members present, Dr. Ateedfar, the chairman of the Veterinary System Council of West Azerbaijan Province, was elected as the chairman of Region Four for a term of one year.
Next, the implementation manual of Article 5 was reviewed and members made suggestions, emphasizing the need to revise parts of this manual. There was also a discussion and exchange of views on monitoring the implementation of Article 2, and solutions were presented to improve the quality of monitoring and transparency of implementation processes.
Other parts of the meeting included examining the challenges in the region, exchanging expert views on trade union and executive issues, and presenting solutions to improve the current conditions.
Another important issue raised in this meeting was the development of regional educational cooperation with neighboring countries. The members presented suggestions regarding the expansion of scientific and educational interactions, and it was decided to lay the necessary groundwork for the realization of this goal.
On the sidelines of this meeting, Dr. Motlabi, head of the country's veterinary system organization, visited West Azerbaijan province and visited various parts of the province's veterinary system.
In a meeting with the staff of the Urmia Veterinary System and the General Directorate, he reviewed administrative, executive issues, and personnel needs, and emphasized the need to improve working conditions and enhance the quality of services.
Also, a meeting was held with representatives of veterinary professions, during which concerns, professional problems, and suggestions raised by activists in this field were considered, and necessary follow-ups were put on the agenda.
The trip continued with a visit to the Urmia Small Animal Hospital. During the visit, the status of services, existing equipment, and the needs of the complex were assessed, and the need to improve the level of medical services and better equip the center was emphasized.
