Dr. Abbasali Motlabi: Empowering human resources is our most important mission

The Advisory Working Group of Directors of Veterinary Associations and Centers was held in the meeting hall of the Veterinary System Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the presence of Dr. Abbas Ali Motlabi, Head of the Veterinary System Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in person and online. In this meeting, the pivotal role of the system organization in managing and supporting the private sector and the necessity of empowering human resources were emphasized.


According to the Public Relations Department of the Veterinary System Organization, Dr. Abbas Ali Motlabi, at the beginning of this meeting, emphasized the legal status and structure of the private sector in the country's veterinary system and said: "The Veterinary System Organization must use the best private sector management models in interaction with associations and trade unions to pave the way for further advancement and promotion of the country's veterinary medicine."


Referring to the process of forming specialized committees, he added: "Fourteen committees have been formed in different fields, each of which is an auxiliary arm of the organization in advancing its missions. In these committees, we have utilized the capacity of university professors, representatives of the Razi Institute, the National Veterinary Organization, and veterans to ensure that decisions are scientific and purposeful."

The head of the Veterinary System Organization considered the most important task of these committees to be the empowerment of human resources and stated: "If we only carry out this mission well, we can have a lasting impact in the profession. Unfortunately, our graduates are not sufficiently skill-oriented, and we must all help new entrants to the labor market acquire the necessary skills."


During the meeting, attendees expressed their views, problems, and concerns in their areas of work, and suggested solutions were presented by the head of the organization and the deputies.


It is worth mentioning that Dr. Motlabi attended the meeting accompanied by Dr. Charkhkar, Deputy Director for Technical and Licensing Affairs, and Dr. Akbarin, Deputy Director for Education, Technology and Research of the organization. Representatives from the Iranian Veterinary Society, the Association of Veterinary Clinicians' Associations, the Iranian Veterinary Laboratory Association, the Association of Independent Vaccination Centers, the Association of Veterinary Pharmacies' Associations, the National Association of Veterinary Technical Officers and Assistants' Associations, the Association of Poultry Chain Pharmaceutical Technical Officers, and the Veterinary Medicine Importers Association were also present at the meeting.
