On 5 August 2025, the FAO Representative in Iran, Mr. Farrukh Toirov, officially expressed his readiness to explore new collaborations with the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute—a renowned Iranian institute known for its expertise in both veterinary and human vaccines.
During his visit to the Razi Institute’s Karaj campus, Toirov praised the Institute’s unique technological capabilities and proposed developing joint training courses and specialized capacity-building programs. He highlighted the Institute’s role not only in veterinary vaccine development but also in supporting food security and public health.
In response, Mr. Ali Eshaqi, Director of the Razi Institute, emphasized the facility’s extensive capabilities in producing various biological products, managing reference laboratories, and advancing vaccine technology. He welcomed opportunities for international partnerships to further enhance global health security.
This cooperation initiative signals a growing international engagement and positions Iran as a significant contributor to global veterinary and biomedicalh research.
