The Veterinary Meeting & Expo (VMX) 2025, held in Orlando, Florida, by the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC), broke attendance records, drawing nearly 30,000 participants from 86 countries.

A key highlight was the unveiling of the first RNA vaccine technology designed for companion animals, aimed at rapid, targeted protection against diseases such as canine influenza and feline leukemia virus.

Additional standout developments included:

  • AI-driven diagnostics, particularly those involving DNA sequencing, to improve the speed and precision of disease detection.
  • Advances in longevity and regenerative medicine therapies for aging animals, potentially improving quality of life for senior pets.
  • Strong emphasis on conservation, with sessions focused on endangered species and wild animal welfare, including amphibians and large cat species.

VMX 2025 also showed its impact beyond science: the conference had major economic effects on the local region (Orlando), and expanded its “New Product Gallery” to include 32 innovations.
